The number itself will be shown immediately on the screen after the payment stage of the sign up process has been completed. You will also receive an email with your login details and number to the email address you provided. It can take up to 30 minutes for the number to be active and ready to use. The inmate will need to register the provided number on to their prison pin list, before being able to call the number and receive cheaper calls.
The number is unique to the inmate not the prison. Thus, wherever the inmate goes the number will follow. The inmate may need to add the existing number to their pin list if they are transferred to another prison.
Not at all, this number can be used by anyone you give the number too. The calls will be monitored to ensure legal requirements are met. But will not be shared unless it is requested.
Using the log-in details sent to your email address, you can access your account which will show how many minutes you have remaining. You will also get an automated text message when your minutes are running low, advising you to top up your account so you and your inmate can keep enjoying the benefits of Jail Cell.
We will de-activate the number for that phone and provide you with a new number that will need to be added to the inmate’s pin list at no extra cost.
If you longer want to enjoy the benefits of Jail Cell. Simply get in touch via our contact us page and we will be happy to arrange the cancellation for you.
